Follow up Consultations
After the procedure, follow-up visits are important to ensure your complete recovery and a successful outcome. The discharge instructions will have the follow-up visit listed.
Your first visit will be scheduled 10 days to 3 weeks after the procedure. For minor procedures this may be all that is needed. For some procures further visits will be required, typically at 6 weeks and 3 months.
For joint replacement procedures ongoing follow up with X-Rays are required at one year and then every five years postoperatively to ensure that there are no problems with the implants.
For the convenience of patients outside of Adelaide some of these visits can be arranged with your local doctor or conducted by teleconference.
At each follow up visit, please keep Dr Bauze informed of your recovery/progress. Please also let us know if you are having problems. We can always arrange an additional review as required.
